above: the triple-drop log flume. A very major attraction, with a station (below) to rival those in theme parks. Obviously at one point the Pleasure Beach was in a mind to build major attractions like these. above: a decent array of spin rides. above: 2004's Zamperla Disk'O. above: 2004's Zamperla Sky Drop. All in all, one of the better amusement parks in the UK. Not as many rides as Blackpool, but I feel it's roughly up there with Pleasureland and Fantasy Island, thanks to the huge asset that is the Roller Coaster! Let's hope the Pleasure Beach starts adding big attractions again, as I feel a couple of coasters to accompany the scenic railway would be perfect.

Ahh the fun house and Haunted Hotel ghost train featured in that great episode of Keeping Up Appearances!
I really like the salt water log flume at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, I think like the new wave of eco friendly swimming pools, they should argue that using salt rather than chlorine makes them a more environmentally responsible attraction!
I agree it is odd that they had the nerve to install major attractions such as the Log Flume, yet never built anything else, I cant imagine that the log flume has been an unsuccessful investment it always seems popular when I’ve visited, even to spectators watching unsuspecting people passing on the footpath getting a surprise soaking when the log crashes down the third drop
My first visit to the Pleasure Beach is one of my earliest childhood memories we didn’t go inside as it was closed (or so my parents told me, I think its we were there before it had opened) and I remember looking through the fence, begging my parents to let me go in and slide down the twisting snake slides, I also remember seeing some bumper boats and I think bumper cars with staff getting them ready . . I had to wait eleven years before I went inside the Pleasure Beach and was told I was too old to go down the snake slides!
