I'm just in an American Adventure mood this morning, well most of the time Here's how i'd try and turn the park around,
The park already has a strong collection of what I like to call “foundational” theme park rides, these are rides people expect to find at a theme park like a log flume, pirate ship, some kind of roller coaster and on top of that extra rides they may associate with a theme park but not all of them have, like a rapids, simulator and runaway train ride.
These rides are already great and don’t need replacing, the only improvements they need are cosmetic, and are not urgently required, and could be done over the open season when we get some money coming in.
First of all i think we need to get public's attention and remind them we're here, so i think a package of nicely dressed flat rides will work well, as it worked really well for Thorpe Park, and like Thorpe when tussauds first took over, it’s really a type of ride that the park is missing that are quite popular.
Zamperla provide relatively affordable rides (priced around £300-£400k) and a very high quality for that kind of money and also the advantage of themeing the ride for you, I’d go for:
. | Discovery - with inwards facing seating and the same native american themeing, for the alamo section of the park
. | Power Surge - i really think this is an usual ride that would capture peoples interest, i'd place it where the balloon race ride (move that elsewhere) currently is within the silver city area of the park, giving it a wild west sort of theme
. | Hawk 48 - again i'd have same theme as that one, for the space port area of the park, i think thist ype of rides are very popular at fairs and the parks that have them, the new suspended seating adds a new "legs dangling" edge to the ride, and i think feels a lot more comfortable and safer than the dodgy sky flyer / sky master rides
. | Interactive Dark Ride - i think getting zamperla to supply a basic track for a dark ride, and space leisure to do the sets / interactive part like they did with golden nuggets and el passo, i'd like an Aztec themed temple ride, themed on collecting the lost treasure, to really give that area more of an idenity (i'd chnage the front of the building to look like a temple too, not mt rushmore!
Well that's how i'd get the partay started ;D i'm gonna stop there before i get too intoo this lol
