I think we all known building a new roller coaster is a very expensive task for any park, and requires a lot of costs in designing and developing the ride I've long been in favour of parks picking up defunct coasters and saving them from extinction, One of my favourite woodies that needs to be saved is the Thunder Eagle, a compact coaster from Coasterworks, it isn't technically an out n back design, but it doesn't have any twisty bits if you're with me? It was built in 2000 by coasterworks, at Race World park, basically a go-karting track in Tennessee, needless to say it couldn't make any money and closed after one season it stood collecting dust for 2 years before been sold to a chain of water parks in Canada The ride is currently in storage as Mont Saint Sauveur park can't get planning permission to re-build the coaster, and it's supposedly for sale again Coaster Town Thunder Eagle Pics I think it would make a great buy for any of the small (or even large) UK parks and maybe help them to step up to bigger things in the future, by giving them a major new attraction for the fraction of the cost of designing and building one from scratch

I'm 100% for bringing Thunder Eagle over, especially if it meant the difference between the park in question getting a wooden coaster or not getting a wooden coaster. the only time I wouldn't want it is if a park was capable of installing a better design. But no two ways about it, Thunder Eagle looks too good to go to waste.

yeah it would be a shame if Flamingo Land bought it, when there planning to build a new woodie,
it would make a nice ride for somewhere like Paultons Park, Lightwater Valley, Pleasurewood Hills, Flambards or even Camelot
