Just been looking into a now defunct indoor coaster, Rail Chase which used to operate at Sega World Sydney. RCDB lists the ride as an enclosed mine train style coaster, however the picture below, taken from an archive of the park's website shows more of a wild mouse style system Newly completed renovations have made Sydney’s only indoor rollercoaster the latest in high speed thrilling entertainment.
Adventurers are warned of the dangers ahead before racing through dense rainforests, massive waterfalls, ice caves and an abandoned lava-filled gold mine. Incredible theming and special effects used throughout Rail Chase make it one of the most popular attractions at Sega World.Sounds incredible, shame there aren't many photos of the ride about

I used to play Rail Chase in the arcades!
It does look a good ride, and that track is certainly chunky if it's not a coaster... If it's of any interest, the coin-op cabinet in the arcades used to say something like "Roller Coaster System" on the side. The seat moved up and down to simulate a roller coaster.
All I can remember about the actual game was that there were certainly lots of roller coaster sections in it, and lots of shooting.
Sega World actually used pretty impressive technology in some of their rides - technology that is still not affordable enough to have in home consoles. There was a virtual reality space ride, and a ghost shoot-em-up that I believe was augmented reality! That's a very, very advanced system that calculates the data of your room, and characters in the game will act as if they're physically there.
