cast your votes for your fave uk water ride, and tell us why you voted for that one, there's quite a lot of good water rides in uk had trouble selecting my personal fave,
i like them all, nightmare niagara is definitely the scariest, valhalla is definitely the wettest, tidal wave has a really impressive setting and atmosphere, stormforce 10 has a great sense of adventure and humour in the themeing, pirate adventure is a cool because we don't get many dark rides of that scale in uk, great yarmouth's log flume is unusually salt, lightwater valley's toad hole is a classic and very unique ride and their falls of terror are always a laugh . . . there's so many like the bizarre river caves at blackpool and their log flume always get soaked on that, oakwoods snake river with the lighting effects these are all amazing
but i had to vote for valhalla, it's like been in the middle of a special effects movie, a ride that always has a great sense of mystery and intrigue before you set off, can be scary at times and is always wet maybe too wet! A very impressive ride nevertheless

My favourite is Snake River Falls at Oakwood. The feeling of sitting on a small dinghy, rushing down tiny, twisty tubes is exhilarating! You could be anywhere in the world, and you really feel cut-off from the park. I choose this one because it has two tubes slides, as well as the two racing slides. Also, one of them (can’t remember which) is probably the fastest and most thrilling I’ve been on. I think it’s the bit where you cut across the racing slides.
Another great one is Professor Burp’s Bubbleworks. Although more of a dark ride, it does have the drop at the end.

I plumped for Alton's Congo River Rapids, purely because I have always had fun on them. I like Flamingo's new Lost River Ride, but it needs to be finished off before I can really judge it (the splash at the end though is good). Stormforce 10 is the wettest one I have been on. But I have always had a good laugh on the Rapids at Alton and thats the basis of my vote.

Talking of Congo River Rapids, I once heard it uses three pumps on the circuit. That was what got me thinking about making a rapids ride with only one pump. It would be ultra-efficient, and as cheap to run as possible (I'm a cheapskate!), but include all the elements of modern rapids rides: steep drops, whirlpools etc.
PS - wasn't Alton's the longest in the world when it opened?

Pah - the thrill of a dingy doesnt match the thrill of sitting in a boat which has been patched up with PolyFilla - where the footpanels literally come out in your hands. Nightmare Niagara for me! RIP Matey.
